Well & Sick Visits at Kids First Pediatrics
Kids First Pediatrics feels strongly that you should never have to put your child’s health care on hold. That is why we offer Well Visits and Sick Visits at both of our locations. We are keeping appointments separate by having well visits and sick visits in separate blocks.
Sick Visits
To keep patients safe, sick televisits are currently being scheduled for Saturdays from 9 am-1 pm. And we are not taking sick visit walk-ins. Book a sick televisit with us, and the provider will decide if an in-office visit is necessary.
If an in-person visit is necessary, you can expect a basic check of your child’s vitals, a comprehensive exam as well as diagnosis and treatment planning for your child’s symptoms at a sick visit.
How to know when to call for a Sick Visit?
-Your child looks ill, is unusually drowsy or fussy
-Your child has symptoms such as a stiff neck, severe headache, severe sore throat, severe ear pain, an unexplained rash, or repeated vomiting or diarrhea.
– Your child is younger 3 months and has a temperature of 100.4°F (38.0° C)
Well Visits
Your child may be healthy and doing just fine. However, in the early stages of child development, it is important to make sure your child is progressing and all body systems are functioning correctly. Some conditions and medical issues may not be visibly apparent, so it is important to make sure that you stay on a well-child visit schedule to assure the complete health of your child.
As youth sports resume, it will also be important for your children and teenagers to get a sports physical. All youth athletes should have up-to-date sports physical before being cleared to participate.
Well visits are scheduled in Raleigh and Clayton Monday through Friday from 8 am- 5 pm
