Kids First pediatrics was founded in 2008 by Selam Bullock, MD, FAAP, with the mission to treat the entire well-being of a child, not just a current list of symptoms. Dr. Bullock’s mission is to provide the highest quality health care in a fun and comfortable environment. She values the time she spends face to face with patients and their caregivers.

Dr. Selam Bullock is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Bullock believes that it is important in life to never assume you know enough, you should always be open to new knowledge. Her particular interests are using technology to improve healthcare quality, Asthma, ADHD, and preventative care. She believes that we as pediatricians should always keep our minds open and constantly keep up to date with the latest research. Sometimes our best teachers are our patients and it is always important that we listen to the patient or the mother, they know themselves the best. She has been practicing in North Carolina since 2002, and in Raleigh since 2006. She started Kids First Pediatrics in 2008, and the practice has rapidly grown. She has 2 little girls, Sarah and Sophie. Dr. Bullock speaks Spanish, Tigrinya (her native language) as well as Baby language. She enjoys blowing bubbles with her girls, and puppy Zoey. Dr. Bullock sees patients in our Raleigh and Clayton locations.
